Located on the south coast, just 10 km along from Costa Adeje. Callao Salvaje is a place to keep an eye on in Tenerife. Originally a fishing village, with stunning views along the coast and of Mount Teide, this small resort has seen an increase of development over recent years resulting in a rise in interest for accommodation for tourists and locals alike. The neighbouring town of Playa Paraiso, just 2 km away, has seen an influx of three new 5-star hotels, bringing expansion and improvement to the area as a whole. The recently opened man-made beach, Playa de Ajabo, added the final touch to make Callao Salvaje a self contained, idyllic resort, perfect for a residential or holiday home.
There is a selection of shops, bars & restaurants within the village, as well as a chemist and doctor (private), ensuring everything is on your doorstep, however if you should choose to venture in to the busier resorts of Costa Adeje, Playa de Las Americas, or Los Cristianos, they are all close at hand. Or if you are planning on getting out and about to explore, all excursions will pick up from the resort.
Recent improvements to the coast road connecting the area to the main TF-1 motorway have made the area much easier to access. From here, buses run directly to Los Cristianos and Los Gigantes. Callao Salvaje is just a 25 minute drive, or taxi ride, from Reina Sofia International Airport.
