Property for sale in Costa Adeje

Costa Adeje – Area Info

Costa Adeje is home to some of the most exclusive Hotels on the island and stretches along the coast from the lively party resort of Playa De Las Americas to the more reserved fishing village of La Caleta.

The El Duque district has been designed as a very exclusive area, and opportunities to purchase property in construction here are still available.  This area has experienced a staggering rise in value over recent years.  Above El Duque is the Fañabé district, a small hamlet which has been absorbed into the greater Américas area.  Surrounding the older hamlet are newer constructions, many still being built.  These are made up of a mixture of villas and apartments.  Bordering El Duque along the coast, is the Torviscas district.  Extending from the ocean up to the hills, this area is conveniently split into two by a motorway.   The lower part, bordering the sea is referred to as ‘bajo’, and ‘alto’, the higher part.  Property in Torviscas bajo tends to be more tourist orientated, because of it’s proximity to the excellent beaches, and is therefore a good area to look for ‘fly to let’ investments.  Torviscas ‘Alto’ is a popular residential area, with houses and apartments extending up the hills to Roque del Condé.  At the very top is a small and very exclusive enclave of substantial luxury villas, which enjoy unparalleled views of the coastline.  The next district of Las Américas as you travel along the coast, is San Eugenio.  Again, split into alto and bajo, this area has been longer established than Torviscas, and in addition to beaches, also has a waterpark and a yachting marina.  Apartments in this area are very popular rental investments, Villas tend to be in the alto area where huge private villas make up some of the priciest real estate on the island.

Costa Adeje – Sport

Golf

Home to the Costa Adeje Golf course with 18 championship holes and a separate 9 hole course. Designed by renowned golf architect Jose Gancedo, and inaugurated in 1998, the land was previously a banana plantation and the natural features have been integrated into the course.

This, along with spectacular sea views and a challenging terrain, makes the course well worth a visit.

Gymnasiums

There are several gymnasiums & sports facilities on the doorstep which you can use on a pay as you go basis, including Tenerife Top Training (T3), an award winning establishment which is host to many International sports personalities.

Watersports

The wonderful expansive coastline consists of some fabulous beaches at Playa Del Duque, Playa Del Fañabe and Torviscas, there are also many hidden coves which make for the perfect exclusive sunbathing areas. The beaches all offer various water-sports including Para-gliding, jet-ski’s, banana boats and more. In addition to the this there are lots of relaxing excursions that you could take advantage of, take a boat trip and do a bit of whale and dolphin spotting or get your snorkel and head off to swim with the turtles, there really is something for everyone.

Other

There is no excuse not to keep up your fitness levels, as you can find tennis courts, padel tennis, swimming pools, and of course beautiful walks around the area.

Costa Adeje – Eating Out

The Costa Adeje promenade can offer the ultimate dining experience from mingling with the celebrities in 5* restaurants to sampling some of the famous Canarian chicken at Fañabe or try the fantastic fish restaurants of La Caleta.

You can be as indulgent as you so wish but equally if you just want a cheap bite it is not difficult to find either.

With all tastes and nationalities catered for you will never get bored or go hungry and if you have no appetite then how about chilling out with a nice, cool, refreshing cocktail and watching the sun go down behind the Atlantic Ocean.

In the same area is a new sports centre for international athletes to train.  Recently opened, it has already played host to Championship League teams from the UK as well as a host of Olympians.  Don’t be surprised to see a familiar face or two as you sip a cocktail on La Caleta’s seafront!
