If taking life easy whilst giving your eyes a feast of colour is more to your way of thinking then you could visit an Orchid Centre with more than 100 different varieties of orchid as well as 20,000 carnivorous plants. Or for flora and fauna of a different type, the Cactus Park has thousands of cacti and desert plants which have been collected together to grow as they would in their natural habitat.

The Botanical Gardens at Puerto de la Cruz are world famous for their fine collection of sub-tropical and tropical trees and plants and the famous "Dragon Tree" at Icod de los Vinos is very special and known to be one of the oldest trees in the world.
